The Swiss fruit and vegetable importer Giovanelli Fruchtimport AG is pleased to announce that it has purchased a stake in the agritech company AgroSustain. The investment is the result of an initial financing round by AgroSustain.

The company received an EIC Accelerator grant of EUR 2.4 million for the further development of its biological plant protection solutions. AgroSustain will use the proceeds to prepare the European market entry of its biological coating which extends the freshness of fruit and vegetables. It will also speed up its development of new, highly effective biological antifungal solutions.
